Where and when are the lessons?

Each lesson is at 1pm on Saturdays in Briggs 419.

There will be five lessons, starting on 4/27 and running until 5/25.

What is a lesson like?

Each lesson will be a blend of lecture and hands-on projects.

The lessons are expected about an hour and a half, followed by thirty minutes of free coding and Q&A time.

What is the cost of the lessons?

The cost for the entire program is just $30. Anyone is welcome to attend the first lesson at no cost.

This comes out to a cost of only $6 per lesson.

Who is teaching the lessons?

Erty Seidel, a senior in Mathematics/Computer Science and English, will be the tutor.

Erty has experience tutoring coding from PureCode, Valley New School, and six years of experience in the coding industry.

What will we learn in the class?

The class will be a very cursory overview of the Python programming language, and a brief introduction to computer design.

You are not expected to have any prior knowledge with programming. In fact, if you do, you might find the class a little too easy.

Do I need to bring a computer?

Yes - you will need a laptop or other portable computer capable of running Python.

If you don't have a computer, Erty has a few that he is willing to loan out.
